Dr. Sketchy’s Anti Art School: Baltimore

APRIL

THU APR 7 | 7PM
$12, $10 mbrs.

A livelier life drawing event, Dr. Sketchy's is where artists of all levels draw fabulous burlesque and variety performers. Enjoy delicious cocktails and a performance by the model, and compete in fun contests to win free drinks and other awesome prizes! We'll start off with quick 1- and 2-minute gesture poses and gradually move up to 20-minute sketches. No drawing experience is necessary; just bring your own drawing materials—and cash tips for our model—and join us for some fun figure sketching practice!

For our next fun night of sipping and sketching, we’re excited to have juggler extraordinaire, Saymo Saymo, as our amazing model/performer!

Here’s more information on our April muse:
“Saymo Saymo—"The Token Block Guy!"—is a born and raised Marylander, currently working as a high-end server for the Washington DC area. Okay, deep down the man is actually pretty darn strange. Saymo Saymo watched impressive cigarbox juggling performances by the likes of Kris Kremo, Eric Bates, and artists from Japan. Inspired, he is now a 4-year young cigar box juggler. But he doesn't take himself too seriously, well, he does play a mean Kazoobie Wazobo horn!”

Doors at 6:30—show up early to get a good seat! 18+ to draw, 21+ to drink.
BYO drawing supplies. No photography or messy paints, please (watercolors are fine).
