About Sidewalk Serenades:
Creative Alliance believes that a Baltimore without live performances is a Baltimore without joy – and we won’t stand for that!
As you likely know, working musicians, dancers, magicians, burlesque performers, aerialists, and other performance-based artists have had their gigs and their livelihoods cancelled for the foreseeable future. Join Creative Alliance in creating performance opportunities for these artists throughout Baltimore while simultaneously respecting the need for everyone to keep a safe distance.
Beginning this week Creative Alliance will offer you the opportunity to have a short performance with two to three songs delivered to the front of your home (or a friend/loved one’s home) for a small fee.
Performers will come to the confirmed address, text the residence upon arrival and, like a burst of sunlight through these gray skies, share their talents from the sidewalk. The donations from each of these performance events will be shared between the artist and Creative Alliance to help keep the arts alive and thriving in Baltimore!
The Basics:
What if I want to purchase a concert for someone else???
What if I live in an apartment?
About The Hot Club of Hampden:
"The Hot Club of Hampden" is a Baltimore-based gypsy jazz trio which includes local favorites Christie Macdonald, Sami Arefin, and Zach Serleth. The trio specializes in the sort of jazz that flourished in Paris during the 30s and 40s, what became known as "gypsy swing", a blend of American swing jazz, and Romani folk music, characterized by it's technical virtuosity and zazou spirit.
