Art To Dine For- Behind the Lens: Khalid Ali Shorts

Find the best seat in your house for a screening and discussion of two short documentary films by Maryland filmmaker Khalid Ali (Rediscovering Paul Moscat [2018]).  Squeegee gives an intimate glimpse of the lives of seven young "Squeegee Boys” who clean car windows at Baltimore intersections.  Away From The Grasslands, examines Hanggai, a Mongolian band that blends rock and traditional folk music, as they record their newest studio album in Beijing.  Join Khalid and his media partner/photographer Brad Ziegler after the screening for a discussion and Q&A.  Enjoy the ultimate movie night, with a snack pack of concession stand favorites or a free pint of Charmery ice cream.

Important note about your refreshments:

  • Snack pack option on tickets purchased after November 1stth may not recieve them until after the event.
  • Ticket buyers who chose the ice cream option will be sent instructions on how to redeem their pint from The Charmery
