Enter a safe, creative space where the walls are plastered top to bottom with paper. Explore the healing process by creating large-scale, abstract/figurative self-portraits that represent the your emotions.
Create a 72” x 32“ abstract figure portraits and engage in relaxed discussions and meditations on feminist approaches to figuration and tactility in art. Your instructor, Ashley Dequilla, stimulates person-centered reflection and group conversation by asking participants to discuss their creations throughout the day. At the end of every session, you are photographed in front of your creations. These portraits symbolize a psychic re-connection in consciousness between the body and spirit.
