Students will learn the basics of the Expressive Actor Method - a physical-based approach to acting which propositions integrating voice, movement, and acting training instead of treating them as separate disciplines (developed by Michael Lugering). Students will learn:
The architecture of an expressive action
The Expressive Continuum
A stretch kit
Voice and body exercises
Application of the method to the text.
Dress in comfortable clothes.
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:
Brian Reynolds has a BFA in theatre and an MFA in filmmaking from the Maryland Institute College of Art. He has also served as a Theatre Mentor with Unchained Talent and has studied under Michael Lugering. He is currently an Alum in Residence at the Maryland Institute College of Art where he mentors MFA Filmmaking students in pre-production.
