African Dance w/ Jacqueline Ndayizeye

Saturdays SEP 8 - SEP 29 2-3pm
$10, $8 MEMBERS

Did you know Jacqueline Ndayizeye was Baltimore’s first Burundi Valedictorian?! When she’s not studying at Stevenson University to be a nurse, she is performing stellar dance and enlivening the beats of Africa and showing her skills at the World Refugee Day showcases. Learn how to dance and drum to different tunes from the east and west countries in Africa. You’ll dance through the drum as the dancers and drummers to come together. Jackie says, “This as a stepping stone to entering to another world of African drumming and dance.”

Now, by popular demand, you can dance just like Jackie! Please bring appropriate attire for stretching and fast and controlled movements. This workshop is for all ages. Drop-in’s welcomed but encouraged to participate in all three sessions to build on skills!
