Folkstress Letitia VanSant's poignant songwriting and distinctly intimate vocals landed her solo debut album among the top local releases of 2012, and she's been gaining steam ever since.  She has joined forces with the Bonafides (Tom Liddle and brothers Will & David McKindley-Ward), transforming her repertoire with a powerfully full sound, rich with three-part harmonies and a sense of purpose.  Along with the Bonafides, she celebrates the release of her new album Parts & Labor at the Patterson.

In the title track to the new record VanSant sings, "all we are is parts and labor to this engine's indifferent hum." With broad vision on this new project, she explores the farm lands of Virginia to the rising waters of the Chesapeake, all the way back home to the streets of Baltimore. With empathetic songwriting she looks at the challenges, heartbreak and triumphs of everyday folk dealing with challenging times. 8PM, $15, $12 MBRS. $18, door

Potluck Storytelling brings together Baltimoreans from different walks of life, telling their stories of their lives and neighborhoods. Their stories will be interwoven throughout the night as the Bonafides create a slow burn on stage.

The Bonafides are: Letitia VanSant - vocals, acoustic guitar, banjo, ukulele, David McKindley-Ward - vocals, electric guitar, mandolin, Will McKindley-Ward - vocals, drums, guitar and Tom Liddle - vocals, upright & electric bass.
