Baltimore has always been a favorite subject for songwriters: it’s southern; it's northern; it’s full of eccentrics; and it’s easy to rhyme. For the third annual ‘Streets of Baltimore’ show, some of Maryland’s finest singer-songwriters—Victoria Vox, the Beltways, Tony Denikos and more—sing new songs and old about their hometown. Journalist/songwriter Geoffrey Himes hosts. Benefits the College Peace Network, Creative Alliance and Roots Café. 7:30pm. $17, $12 mbrs.
JUST ADDED! Piedmont blues harmonica player Phil Wiggins with blues guitarist/vocalist Eleanor Ellis. If you haven’t heard these two you NEED to! NO ONE plays harp like Phil Wiggins! AND Alan MacEwen of DC’s fabulous Bob Wills-style Texas swing band The Grandsons.
