Traditional Huichol or Wixáritari yarn paintings of the Sierra Madres Mountains of Central Mexico are sacred, symbolic and depict ancient beliefs. CA resident Fracisco Loza teaches the technique, sharing intimate Huichol stories and art forms, and mixing beeswax & pine resin into which colorful threads of yarn are pressed into wood (or bring your own object). Geared to adults, youth 12+ welcome.
