Have you noticed the bridge over west Northern Parkway? It’s part of the final 3-mile section of the Jones Falls Trail! The full trail now runs for 10 miles, from the Inner Harbor to Mt. Washington Village and this final section, which runs from Cylburn Arboretum to the Kelly Avenue bridge, was recently completed. It’s great for cyclists who prefer lovely shade on a safe trail away from city streets. Pedal 6 miles round trip with Anne Draddy, author of Druid Hill Park: The Heart of Historic Baltimore, take in the scenery, and return to the starting point for a rejuvenating picnic lunch. This event is Bring Your Own Bike and is intended for Intermediate Level riders.

View Creative Alliance’s first virtual exhibit of small works created by emerging and established artists.  The exhibition features over 75 small scale works in a variety of mediums by 40+ artists. Proceeds from art sales support the astounding variety of multidisciplinary and multicultural arts and educational events Creative Alliance presents annually.

Immerse yourself in the rich cultural legacy of Baltimore’s Mt. Vernon Cultural District with a walking tour! Maryland Humanities tour docent Michele Alexander highlights literary luminaries who lived in the neighborhood, including Edgar Allan Poe, H.L. Mencken, Upton Sinclair, F. Scott Fitzgerald, and Gertrude Stein. Take in the glorious architecture as you stroll through the ambrosial parks and cobblestone streets of one of Baltimore’s most beautiful neighborhoods. The tour concludes with a picnic lunch in the square, under the majestic view of Washington and Peabody from Fili Mediterranean cafe.
