The day starts with the BEST family Halloween Festival EVER. Featuring the adorable and hilarious Kids Halloween Costume Contest, lantern making, hayrides, yoga, and bands! The food trucks arrive in time for the festival and the beer garden is open!

Lantern Making Workshops

Lantern Making Tent, Pulaski Monument
6 thirty-min sessions - 3, 3:30, 4, 4:30, 5, 5:30, & 6pm
Sign up at the Lantern Making tent the day of the Festival.
Make a lantern at the Festival to carry in The Great Halloween Lantern Parade that night!

Don't miss our adorable kids costume contest on the main stage!
Check in at 3:30pm near the stage. The contest begins at 4pm. Trophies and prizes for the winners!

The PARADE!

6:30pm Line-up by the Boat Lake | Everyone is welcome to join the parade! Head to the Boat Lake and the Parade Marshals will place you in line.
7pm Parade | View the Parade Route
8:30pm Finale | Main Stage is just north of the Pulaski Monument
The Parade’s spectacular route starts at the Boat Lake and heads east to the annex of the Park and back to Pulaski Monument. A specially commissioned ELECTRIC FINALE closes out the Parade on the stage by the Monument.

Where to Watch

Annex Park on the Hill - The parade will pass along the lower path in the small park. If you are sitting on the hill you will have a great view!
Beer Garden - Hanging out in the Beer Garden along Linwood Ave will have a great view as the Parade marches by and a great view of the Finale Performance.
Anong the Parade Route - View the route and pick a spot!

Location/Parking

FREE Shuttle - Park in the garage on Eaton Street and hop in the shuttle. Two Shuttles run from 3:30pm to 9:30pm every 20 min and drops off/picks up at the corner of Pratt & Linwood.
Parking Garage - 550 S. Eaton St. Baltimore MD 21224
BUS Route - #10 drops you off right at the parade!

The ELECTRIC Great Halloween Lantern Parade connects science to the arts for this dynamic celebration! NEW monumental lanterns designed and created by Baltimore artists:  Charm City Puppets, Tryfuss Puppet Collective, Artesanas Mexicanas, Dan Van Allen, Doug Retzler, Edna Emmet, Kyle Miller, Stevie Dissinger, as well as Yesenia Mejia and Nicoletta De La Brown in collaboration with Patterson Park Public Charter School 5th graders!

PARADE BANDS include Urban Foli, Bateria Terra Maria, Tongue in Cheek, PPPPCS Fife & Drum, Coir w/ Jonathan Gilmore, New Baltimore Twilighters Marching Band, N-Full Motion Marching Band, Manly Deeds, 901 Arts Drumcorps, and DJ Eddie Chabot keep the Parade musically alight! March with thousands of our neighbors who have created their own lanterns, many of them created in FREE public workshops. The Parade’s spectacular route starts at the Boat Lake and heads east to the annex of the Park and back to Pulaski Monument. A specially commissioned ELECTRIC FINALE closes out the Parade with Matthew Casella as mad scientist, Dr. Patterson, and LIVE Tesla Coil animations by Jose Rosero! Head back to Creative Alliance for Glow Ball after partyand adult costume contest!
