4th Annual Night of 1000 Dylans
Event Type: music/performance
If Bob Dylan is the fountainhead of modern American songwriting, Maryland’s singer-songwriters have drunk as deeply from those waters as anyone. Tonight the Stone Hill Allstars (who grew out of the Polkats), Tom Chalkley & Craig Hankin (former leaders of Bruce Springstone), Howard Markman (the Disappear Fear guitarist responsible for Welcome to Baltimore), Brian Simms (Junkyard Saints) and more celebrate Dylan’s 71st birthday (May 24) with an evening of his songs both familiar and obscure. Journalist/songwriter Geoffrey Himes hosts. Benefits American Friends Service Committee and Roots Café.
