Overview 2015 Great Halloween Lantern Parade & Festival: ELECTRIC

ELECTRIC charges up the 16th Great Halloween Lantern Parade with NEW monumental lanterns and ELECTRIC Finale! Festival starts at 3:30pm with lantern workshops, hayrides, food trucks, beer garden, and arts & crafts market!

The ELECTRIC Great Halloween Lantern Parade connects science to the arts for this dynamic celebration! NEW monumental lanterns designed and created by Baltimore artists:  Charm City Puppets, Tryfuss Puppet Collective, Artesanas Mexicanas, Dan Van Allen, Doug Retzler, Edna Emmet, Kyle Miller, Stevie Dissinger, as well as Yesenia Mejia and Nicoletta De La Brown in collaboration with Patterson Park Public Charter School 5th graders!

PARADE BANDS include Urban Foli, Bateria Terra Maria, Tongue in Cheek, PPPPCS Fife & Drum, Coir w/ Jonathan Gilmore, New Baltimore Twilighters Marching Band, N-Full Motion Marching Band, Manly Deeds, 901 Arts Drumcorps, and DJ Eddie Chabot keep the Parade musically alight! March with thousands of our neighbors who have created their own lanterns, many of them created in FREE public workshops. The Parade’s spectacular route starts at the Boat Lake and heads east to the annex of the Park and back to Pulaski Monument. A specially commissioned ELECTRIC FINALE closes out the Parade with Matthew Casella as mad scientist, Dr. Patterson, and LIVE Tesla Coil animations by Jose Rosero! Head back to Creative Alliance for Glow Ball after partyand adult costume contest!

The day starts with the BEST family Halloween Festival EVER. Featuring the adorable and hilarious Kids Halloween Costume Contest, lantern making, hayrides, yoga, and bands! The food trucks arrive in time for the festival and the beer garden is open!

Arts & Crafts Market w/ Jess Rose Illustration, Lavoda Jewelry, Christine Cots Face and Body Art, Alley Kid Art, Baltimore Improv Group, Really Awesome Toys, Enchanted Collective, Paint Nite Baltimore, Aelita Collage Art, Twigs & Wool, Sugar Coated Arts, Zanisimo Jewelry, Daisy Troupe Girls Scouts, Open Hearts, and Pop Up Yoga Baltimore! Pulaski Monument. 3:30-9pm

$5-10 suggested donation per lantern. Bring your flashlights or purchase extra lights at $2 each.
