How does a family know it’s a family? In a new production by MD’s internationally renowned Liz Lerman Dance Exchange, we meet Sienna, a five-year-old girl who colors her world with a new mom and dad. We get to know a pair of figure skaters who adopted a hockey team, and a Baltimore grandfather who created one home under many roofs. Gumdrops is conceived and directed by Peter DiMuro, who brings his own experience as an uncle and as Uncle Drosselmeyer for the Boston Ballet’s Nutcracker to this charming and occasionally interactive show designed for kids and families of all persuasions.
