Inspired by the Namib Desert, Zimmer the Sandman explores preservation, threatened heritage, and our environment. This short animation is a prologue for a dance performance that will take place in Namibia, Africa, and is part of a collaborative project called The Dream of the Sand People. Trentinella was born in Tbilisi, Georgia, and her work is in the permanent collections of the Library of Congress, and Kiyosato Museum of Photographic Arts, Kiyosato, Japan.
