Baay Moussa (Senegal) brings hip hop and reggae from the streets of Dakar. With Salim Diallo (Mali) Bamako meets Baltimore! Blitz The Ambassador (Ghana) brings classic hip-hop from Accra to Brooklyn. Chosan (Sierra Leone) brings his own unique flavor via the UK. To start—a screening of African Underground: Democracy in Dakar, a short documentary exploring the role musical activists played in Senegal’s 2007 presidential election. Q&A follows with some of the artists, joined by Baltimore hip hop activists Ogûn and C-Love. Part of a two-night series.
