Directed by Luisa Bieri de Rios from stories by Highlandtown residents.

Feelings of belonging to the neighborhood or not. Not being able to afford to stay. Walking across the desert to get here. Being the only black kid on the block. Nuns giving a tough lesson. Quitting drinking to save your job. Stories of Highlandtown’s Eastern and Southern European old timers, African American kids, and new immigrants from Central America and Africa. Neighborhood residents and actors from Baltimore’s Theater Action Group perform in this workshop premiere performance. Reception Sat 6:30pm with Maps Exhibition by local seniors and stus. Light fare! Exhibition in partnership with Banner Neighborhoods and Art on Purpose.
