Summer of Love 50th Anniversary Show w/ Fractal Cat & Friends
Summer 1967. The counterculture made its way west to the dock of the bay. Rock ‘n’ roll peaked as an art form, major musical statements like Sgt. Pepper were made, while the "summer of love" brought tie-dye and a new way of thinking to the masses.
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of this magical time and place, Baltimore’s cosmic rock ‘n’ rollers Fractal Cat join a host of special guests for an entire set of songs from '67 acts like Jefferson Airplane, Aretha Franklin, Jimi Hendrix, The Velvet Underground, Bob Dylan and Buffalo Springfield. And of course, The Beatles.
In addition, Fractal Cat will perform a set of original music, drawing largely from its new album The Tower. Inspired by the Tarot card of the same name, songs combine musical influences from the golden age of rock ‘n’ roll with lyrics steeped in social commentary and mysticism.
