Former Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley wields his guitar with authority. During his recent Presidential bid, he could be found breaking into song everywhere from The View to busking on Wall Street. Tonight, he returns to his home stage here at the Patterson with his fiery 7-piece Irish pub rock band O’Malley’s March. Amid covers of The Pogues and comedic songs about Catholic school, O’Malley mixes in his own songs that range from an anthem about the Battle of Baltimore to a lullaby about a mariner’s homecoming. O’Malley leads the group on acoustic guitar, occasional penny whistle and vocals. Among the standouts on stage are Jared Denhard (Irish harp, highland pipes, trombone); Jim Eagan on fiddle; and Sean McComiskey on button accordion. This show always sells out so get your tickets and be prepared for a good time.
