Art To Dine For - Make It and Break It
Sponsored by Towson University's College of Fine Arts & Communication
In Mexico and across Latin America, piñatas accompany almost every fiesta and family celebration. Highlandtown piñata artists Alexandra Gonzalez, Rosa Vazquez, Yesenia Mejía, and Alejandra Martinez were recently awarded “Master Folklife Artists” titles by the Maryland State Arts Council. Tonight they share their traditions and teach you how to create and design your own brilliant piñata star with full tissue paper details. Enjoy delicious homemade tacos and tamales, followed by a whack at a piñata to release the surprises inside! Chocoflan for dessert!
