Sean K Preston and the Loaded Pistols
w/ The Jesse Ray Carter Trio
Sean K. Preston doesn't get gussied up for the show - he wears his cowboy hat, dirty jeans, and shit kicker boots every day. If it sounds like he sings about hard luck, lost love, long journeys, dark secrets, damnation and redemption like he's lived through them - it's because he damn well has.
He's quick with the wisecracks between songs while gulping down whiskey and bantering with the audience, but when the next song starts you better believe he'll be sweating blood to deliver the best performance. It's Blues- Punk -Country, Rock'n'Roll… Amen. 8pm | $12, $7 mbrs.
"....it's hard to ignore the incredible energy that comes from the stage. When you see 'Sean K. Preston & the Loaded Pistols' on the marquee, get your ass in the door for a show that you don't want to miss." – Katie Jacobson, The Hard Times Magazine
Jesse Ray Carter was raised on a farm near Roanoke Va. At the age of twenty & after losing his job as a mechanic he travelled to NYC where he lived on the street. During his time there he befriended blues legend John Hammond whom he based his style on. Ten years of performing in venues from theatres to dive bars has given JRC everything it takes to entertain be it solo or with his band. In 2014 Carter chose to close his automotive restoration business in which he had invested 6 years to concentrate on his music full time once again. Carter lives the blues but has the grease on his hands for true rock n roll. Expect big things to come from him in the near future.
Stick around for a acoustic session in the Marquee Lounge after the show!
