Overview William and the Windmill

Director: Ben Nabors
USA/Malawi/South Africa, 2013, 88 mins

William Kamkwamba, a young Malawian, builds a power-generating windmill from scrap parts to rescue his family from famine, transforming his life and launching him onto the world stage.  His success leads to new opportunities and complex choices, distancing him from the life he once knew. Ben Nabors, director and producer of William and the Windmill , will introduce the screening and be available afterwards for a Q+A.

This film is presented in partnership with the International Book Bank who donated the textbook that inspired William to fully create and realize his dreams.
