Overview

Overview Jon Spelman in The Prostate Monologue: Tales of the Tellywacker

Written and performed by internationally-renowned storyteller Jon Spelman, The Prostate Monologue: Tales of the Tellywacker takes a profoundly funny look at Jon’s prostate cancer scare and how it impelled him to dialogue with dozens of other people. Listen in on conversations like Jon's baseball disaster at the playground; his tail-dragging through the corridors of Johns Hopkins Hospital; and his twilight communing with Moby Dick's Ishmael while on a spiritual trek with his daughter in northern Spain Jon Spelman lives with his wife, dance visionary Liz Lerman, in Baltimore’s Upper Fells Point neighborhood. Q&A with Jon and special guests to follow. 8pm. $20, $15 mbrs. & stus.

“Jon Spelman is world-class!”- Los Angeles Times

“Terrific. …a charismatic teller…not to be missed.” - The Washington Post
