The Great Halloween Lantern Parade & Festival 2013
Produced by Creative Alliance, Friends of Patterson Park & Southeast CDC. Directed by Laure Drogoul.
The 2013 Halloween Lantern Parade & Festival: COSMIC PARK celebrates the universe, including the heavens, the stars, and all celestial bodies in our very own Patterson Park. The day kicks off with a free festival, hay rides, lantern workshops, costume contest, The Gathering food trucks and more! Artist Director Laure Drogoul directs our shimmering spectacle! Floating Floats glow on the park's Boat Lake; video projections light up the DiPietro Ice Rink, the pavilion and behind Pulaski Monument in the park; artist installations and performances by 901 Arts Drum Corps, Barrage Band, stilwalkers in the Parade Route. The Parade will keep you moving! Families, friends, and neighbors are welcome to dress in costume, make lanterns from repurposed plastic bottles, and carry them in the Parade. Or... watch from anywhere along the route! Contact firstname.lastname@example.org to volunteer! Sat Oct 26. 3:30pm Festival. 6:30pm Parade Line up. 7pm Parade kick off. Ends with Fire Finale at Pulaski Monument, Eastern & Linwood Aves, Patterson Park. Rain date Sun, Oct 27. FREE!
